Page refreshes or redirects on a timer

  • WCAG 2.2.1 Timing Adjustable, level A
  • Serious
  • Structure
  • Automated
  • Server pass

Why it matters

A timed refresh can move people away before they have finished reading, which is especially hard for screen reader and switch users.

How to fix it

Remove the meta refresh. Use a server-side redirect, or let the user choose when to move on.

<!-- Remove -->
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5; url=/next/">
