Privacy
Short version: this website does not track you, and the plugin does not send your site's data anywhere.
This website
- No analytics and no tracking. We do not use Google Analytics or anything like it.
- No cookies. The site sets none.
- No third-party requests. Fonts, scripts and images are all served from this site. Nothing is loaded from a CDN, a font service or an ad network.
- Your theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only, so we can remember it. It is never sent to us.
- The free tools run in your browser. The colours and type settings you enter are not sent anywhere. If you press "Copy link" in the contrast checker they go into the address, so you can share them.
- Server logs. Like any website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, the page requested) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to profile anyone.
The A11yMate plugin
Every check runs on your own site. No page content, URL or data leaves your site. There is no account, no tracking and no external API. Scan results are stored in your own WordPress database. The Visitor Toolbar, if you turn it on, remembers a visitor's choices in that visitor's own browser.
If you email us
If you write to hello@a11ymate.co.uk we will receive your email address and whatever you tell us. We use it to reply to you, and we keep the conversation as long as we need it to deal with your request. We do not add you to a mailing list. If you ask to be told when the plugin launches, we use your address for that one message.
You can ask us to see or delete what we hold about you at any time by emailing the same address.
Who we are
This website is run by OakFox (oakfox.co.uk), a small UK studio. We will update this page if any of the above changes.
