Check one page, free

Enter the address of a page. We load it, run A11yMate's checks and show what to fix, in plain English. No sign-up, and nothing is kept.

A public page, for example example.com or https://example.com/about/. Pages behind a login can't be checked.

What this check can and can't do

  • One page, one screen size. It measures the page at 1280 pixels wide, plus a 320 pixel test for sideways scrolling. Other pages and other screen sizes can have other problems.
  • Content drawn by JavaScript isn't seen. We read the page's HTML and its styles, with scripts switched off. Menus, forms and text that only appear once scripts run, and anything behind a login or a cookie banner, are missed.
  • Automated checks find only part of the problems, roughly a third to a half. A score of 100 means nothing was found, not that the page is accessible or compliant. Keyboard use, screen readers and whether alt text is any good need a person.
  • 69 checks from the A11yMate plugin run here: the page's code on our server, then colour, text size and target size in your browser. Your browser fetches the page's own styles, images and fonts to measure it.

We don't keep the page or the results. See what the checker does with data.
