A11yMate is made by OakFox, a small UK studio.
Why we made it
Most accessibility tools for WordPress either give you a long list of codes you have to decode, or promise to fix everything with a script. Neither helps a site owner who wants to do the right thing and is not sure where to start.
A11yMate is the tool we wanted: one that checks the whole site, says what is wrong in plain English, shows the exact fix and is honest about what a machine cannot judge. It also keeps your data to itself. Every check runs on your own site.
Principles
- Honest. No "100% compliant in one click". We say what automation can and cannot do.
- Private. No page content, URL or data leaves your site. No account, no tracking, no external API.
- Accessible itself. An accessibility product with an inaccessible interface is worthless. We test our own admin and this website against WCAG 2.2 AA. Read the accessibility statement.
- Light. We care about website carbon. This site loads no third-party requests and keeps pages small.
