# A11yMate

> A11yMate is an accessibility suite for WordPress, made by OakFox (https://oakfox.co.uk). It audits a whole site against WCAG 2.2, explains every problem in plain English, recommends concrete fixes, applies the fixes that are safe to automate and checks content in the block editor. It is not an overlay. Every check runs on the site itself: no page content, URL or data leaves it, and there is no account, tracking or external API. It is coming soon to WordPress.org and is not released yet.

- Requires WordPress 6.5+ and PHP 7.4+. Licence: GPL-2.0-or-later.
- 69 checks, each mapped to a WCAG 2.2 success criterion.
- Helps you work towards WCAG 2.2 AA. It does not guarantee compliance. Automated checks find roughly a third to a half of WCAG issues, and A11yMate marks which rules need a human.
- Planned plans (launch prices, may change): Free (up to 25 pages), Pro (GBP 59 a year, 1 site), Agency (GBP 199 a year, up to 25 sites).
